The Advantages of Tint
Initially window tinting was created to reduce the glare and radiation inside of buildings and cars, and that is still a main function today. However we can also credit the application of tint for aesthetic and energy conservation features as well.
Energy ratings are a huge consideration in the construction industry, and tinting has a significant impact on a full glass facade. Because it reduces heat and radiaition, tint acts in a similar way to duble glazing by reducing heat transfer inside the building. This obviously has a flow on effect on the air conditioning and temperature control inside.
The dark tint not only creates a striking contrast against the lighter facade for this building, but also brings the glass a closer colour to the aluminium. Blending these two mediums into one creates a seamless frontage and makes allowance for the timber battons to shine.
Finally we can appreciate that tint hides what happens inside the building. Whether it's to protect the privacy of personnel or obscure a little untidiness, you can be sure that those approaching the building will be unaware.
